CASE STUDY

James Alley work as a senior designer for Billabong between 2001-2006. During this time he provided creative and art direction for a wide spectrum of surf, skate and snow advertising. The primary areas of advertising were magazine and outdoor. Each new season required a new campaign and look and feel relative to the overall iconic status of Billabong.

James worked closely with the Brand Manager helping to provide the creative direction for the magazine and outdoor advertising, creating and presenting new concepts regularly and communicating with garment designers to ensure consistency within the brands presentation.

The process of developing advertising for Billabong involved creating imagery and concepts that could engage and inform young people.
