Metagraphics has just uploaded a new site for Michael Luke, AKA the Guitar Guy.
If you live in Brisbane you may have seen Lukey driving around in his van (it has his logo splashed all over the dang thing!) Lukey contacted me just before Christmas urgently wanting to get his website up and running. He already had a logo design and his business was already to go. Lukey just needed the right brisbane graphic design studio. The problem was his website was looking pretty B-grade.
So Lukey hit us up and asked for something pretty laid back and reflective of his style of music and way of operating.
Metagraphics created the look and feel for the site and used a wordpress theme from studiopress to create a custom content management system that would make it easy for Lukey to maintain a dynamic website presence with a blog, contact form, some sharp imagery and all that graphic design hocus pocus. He also needed the potential to create a time and day specific booking system for the guitar guy in the future.
The biggest problem in design this site was trying to remember how to spell guitar. I finally have trained myself to spell it correctly but for some reason my spaz brain would continually default to gutair. Even looking at it now, I’m a bit confused. Better check the dictionary.
Spelling was pretty important because we took the initiative to develop the site map and create the copy for the site as well.
Lukey has a few more business initiatives up his sleeve and Metagraphics is looking forward to creating some more small business website design and branding for him!
